TL;DR: Go here for lazily passing the time and/or pictures, but not for the food.
I fail to understand the good reviews the place is getting. Personally, I found them to be misleading. A friend had warned me about the kind of average food the place serves, but I still decided to give it a try.
We reached the place around 7.30 in the evening. Being a Sunday, there was quite some crowd, which was expected.
The place has indoor, covered seating, and an outdoor seating. Initially, due to lack of tables inside, the two of us were seated outside. The table was rickety beyond tolerance, and we asked the server to level it.
We placed an order for an Oreo Shake, jalapeño poppers and garlic bread.
The poppers came in first, and finally the server managed to level our table after the food was on it. This was the only bit of good food that we had. Good does of cheese and jalapeño bits, served with a side of chilly mayonnaise.
By this time, a table inside had been vacated, and we moved to that. The seating inside is a bit congested; the Jenga crumbling to ground on the next table, gave us a mini jump, as well.
The garlic bread was on the table by now. A bit hard, devoid of any garlic hint but topped with some cheese, it was average at best. The Oreo Shake was good. The quantity wasn't good, but they, thankfully, didn't go wrong with this safe bet. We further placed an order for a red velvet shake and a veg lasagne.
The red velvet shake was just a heavily sweet milkshake, without much flavour. The lasagne took some time to come. One bite in, and we realised that all we could taste was a lot of black pepper. Tried another bite, only to realise that it would be difficult to down this one. We asked the manager for a corrected one. It took them exact half an hour to get it done again. The wait wasn't worth it, either. All we could now taste was raw tomato puree.
Almost famishing, we somehow just gobbled the entire dish.
The total cost incurred was 750 or so. I know it's very reasonable. Add to that the pretty decor and the games that you can play with your buds, it is almost dream like. But essentially, it is a food place, and the food here needs a definite improvement. Too disappointed.
