The Belgian Waffle Co. - Jubilee Hills

This is merely a reiteration of my fondness for The Belgian Waffle Co. The latest out sits visibly on Road No.36, next to Naturals, and is quite easy to locate. There are 2 tables places outside, should the weather be inviting, while the rest of the seating is indoor, much like the other outlets. The familiar warm toned walls welcome you. There were 10 of us girls, and we chose to spoil the bar-counter like seating for ourselves. There is nothing on the menu to not like. Depending on your individual preference, you can go for the savoury waff-wich, sweet ones, or the mini pancakes. A must try is their Rocky Road Waff-wich. It's big, and takes some effort to grab a bit. There's the charcoal caramel and banana one, if you like to go bananas. The red velvet and the blueberry cream cheese are one of the good ones. In savoury, I really can't pick which of the two I like more! To go with these, you have the options of some delightful shakes, a cold coffee, and a ver...

Tempteys - Gachibowli

Tempteys recently revamped their menu, and we got a chance to try the additions at their Gachibowli outlet. This outlet is a mere walking distance away from DLF, and easily locatable in the building next to Vijaya Bank. All their shakes come with the options of 2 bases Gelato (icecream) and Avalanche (yoghurt). Here's a list of the new ones, and how they fared. Poppy corn: It looks quite plain, but one sip, and you'll be amazed at the smoky flavour of popcorn hitting you from the sweet shake. Merry cherry and Crunchy Forest Berry are for those who love the berries. If you're a Mint enthusiast, do try the Mint o Fruit shake. For those who can't get enough of cookie shakes, Cookie Feast comes in with Oreo and Little Hearts stacked on the top. Coffee addicts can try the very appealing Coffee Hazelnut, which was absolutely a pretty sight too! My personal favourite, though, was Caramel Brownie. The flavour of caramel, with chewy chunks of brownie, and a t...

CIBO House - Hi-Tech City

CIBO happened on a weeknight, when we were looking for a place to dine at.  We made reservation via Zomato, and easily got a table for 2. Reaching a few minutes before 8.30 p.m., our scheduled time, we found the place to be completely empty. The crowd had not started coming in yet, and we got thought it was better to clarify if there would be buffet served or not. Upon confirmation, we took our table, and promptly a server informed of us about the course of buffet.  Because neither of us were interested in soups, we asked the starters to be brought in. There were 4 starters in the vegetarian, and a lot more in the non-vegetarian plate. Also, we had the option of choosing one of the mocktails, that would be refilled unlimited times. We preferred the Virgin Mojito, which was average, and nothing special to boast of.  In the starters, cheese stuff mushroom was the best one, hands down! I like the Cauliflower Crostata as well, followed closely by the Aiol...

The Roastery Coffee House

Roastery is love at first sight kind of place. You look at it, and you get all the warm and fuzzy feels. And I believe, that's one reason it is hard to get a table here. Very recently, they added more to their seating, so the chances of you getting accommodated are more now. Located in the bylanes of Road No. 14 of Banjara Hills, the property is done to give you the laid back vibe, while being tastefully minimal. Another thing that they have recently added is more food options to their menu. I was a part of the tasting session, organised for the new menu trials, and I couldn't get enough of it. For the starters, we have Cheesy Wedges, Onion Cheese Rings, Cheesy Sticks and Zucchini Fries. If you happen to be a cheese fanatic like me, those dishes (minus the zucchini one) are going to satiate your desires successfully! The wedges were of optimal size, with melted cheese spread over them, and seasoned well. The rings were a twisted edition of the classic onion rings, whe...

Sahib’s Barbeque by Ohri’s

Sahib's is yet another one of the finer offerings of Ohri's. Located above Paradise, right opposite to Raheja Mindspace's entrance, the place is nestled quite in the centre of the IT area. We were here during lunch, for a tasting session. The place was bustling, and there were hardly a handful of empty tables, at 1 in the afternoon. We took a table in the PDR section, and began the hogging for the day. I am gonna take it dish by dish, in the order that we had them.  1. Achari Ambi: This was the day's complimentary drink, that's included in the buffet. The taste of the achari spices and tanginess of the ambi are always a win-win combination, and so was this. 2. Dahi ke sholay: The presentation was definitely fancy! Served in big spoons, you had to down the big drop of chatpata flavoured dahi in one go. For theatricals, there was a dry ice container that kept giving away white smoke. 3. Sahibs-e-Lukhmi: The vegetarian version was also labelled as Pyazi...
