Plush Creamery - Indira Nagar

Plush finally have a stand-alone outlet of their own, and it is visible and how! In the line of food joints in Indi a Nagar, near Karachi Bakery, you see the word "plush" shining bold and bright. And Sunday evening, bearing the rain and the cold, we reached the place for a review session. The ambience makes you feel like a kid in candyland. But there's also a sober seating option by the glass, overlooking the busy road. Right, on to what we tried. ∆ Soft-serve • Chocolate soft-serve 🍦- Popped in a freshly made waffle cone, you get scoop of their handcrafted chocolate ice-cream, topped with Nutties, choco bytes, and chocolate sauce. 🤤 ∆ Twirls Twirls are their special creations, handed to you in their signature Plush paper glasses. We tried Banana Twirl 🍌 (me no like banana, so me no taste this) and Chocolate Twirl, besides the followings two. • Dry Fruit Twirl ✨ - This has always been a favourite. As the name suggests, it is loaded with almonds, cashews, rais...

Waffled - Gachibowli

A waffle place can never be the wrong destination. Nestled cosily inside the Plush's Gachibowli outlet, this place serves hot and fresh waffles in loads of varieties. The waffle itself is mainly of two types — your regular chequers style, and the newer puffle waffle. The latter is more like a bubble waffle. As is the custom, each waffle is served with a side of a scoop of icecream and a dollop of whipped cream. Listing down the ones I tried ~ • Chocolate waffle - We got this with cookies and cream ice-cream and it was dreamy! 😍 • Raspberry Waffle, Blueberry Waffle - Waffles smeared with berry jams, and served with raspberry and blueberry ice-cream scoops (Bonus: the ice-creams contain actual fruit bits!) • Chocolate Puffle Waffle - This was the star of the day. Priced aplty at 150 bucks, this hug waffle is folded into a glass and topped with chocolate scoop and whipped cream. 🤤 MUST TRY!! Bottom line — The prices are nominal, but the taste is phenomenal!

Food Station 440 - Film Nagar

In the by-lanes of the residential area of Film Nagar, lies this pretty space. An amalgam of variety eateries, the place offers some beautiful seating. Being located in a residential area, they couldn't have had loud music, so they amped up the chilled-out vibe. There's indoor seating, wherein you have loads of board games, books and quirky tidbits adding to the decor. And then the lovely outdoor seating, with rows of bulbs hanging down across the yard, and some feast-to-the-eyes kind of wall art. It'd serve as a perfect backdrop for a casual date, or a long overdue catch-up. The food factor is based on, as I said, various eateries. Out of those, we tried the food from three. Here's how they fared. ∆ Burgers and Grills • Garden Fresh Burger 🍔- The patty is made of vegetables minced together. • Crispy Tuber Burger 🍔 - This is an Aloo Patty burger, fancied up yet familiar in taste. 🌟 • Veg Pizza Wich 🍞 - Another one that I liked here. Loaded with cheese, ve...

Moti Mahal Deluxe - Gachibowli

This name reeks of home. It spells home in a distant land. Moti Mahal is a popular chain in the north, and are trying to make a mark now in the south. The place is all too familiar in terms of food and feel, and when the chance came, I gladly accepted their invitation for a tasting session last Sunday. I am not going to dilly-dally about the ambience and location, but go straight to the food that warmed the heart. The first one to be placed on the table was the classic trio of vinegar onions, pickles and green chutney. The sight of those pink, little onions is a rarity in Hyderabad, and something that is not usually served. Thus, this combination was the prologue to the meal that was about to be. • Veg Manchow Soup 🍵 - I am not a soup person, but this one I completed without any complaints. The crispy noodles at the top gave a crunch to the liquid. • Dahi Ke Kebab - The kababs were presented as cut pieces of a long roll, as opposed to the commonly seen diskette shape. But the flavour...

Green Box - Madhapur

Healthy food is the new fad. Considering how a lot is working people are always on a look out for healthier eating options, joints delivering such food are sure here to stay. One such new entrant is the Green Box. I was offered to try out a few items from their menu, and so here is how my dinner went. The delivery was at the exact time promised, and the food was received hot. From their vegetarian set of options, I got a salad, a biryani, a curry and multi-grain rotis. •Grilled Vegetable Salad 🥗 - Plethora of veggies, grilled and mixed with sauces, this was a filling dish in itself. It included beans, broccoli, cauliflower, bell peppers, paneer and a lot many other vegetables. •Palak Paneer - Home style, without any extra cream or any adulteration, this felt like eating a really light yet satiating curry. It came topped with 🌶️ mirchi tadka, for an extra flavour kick. •Multi-Grain Rotis 🥙 - Bit smaller in size than your average Rotis, but heavier. The grains include Bajra, Ragi, Jo...
