Date

My date with Date happened over lunch on Saturday afternoon. There were around 7 of us, and because I had seen the place trending much, I zeroed in on this (I am the designated "venue-decider"). The place is located amidst the second-hand car sellers' lots, on the 100ft road, few minutes away from Naturals. Just look out for the circular board with the logo, and you would be able to spot it. There is no space ear-marked for parking, but the empty area around serves the purpose. Reaching at around 1.30 p.m., we were the first ones, and found the place to be deserted (pun intended).  Owing to the heat, we chose to sit inside. The outside seating option is a covered area with settees/sofas, and probably is a good place to dine in the evening. The place has some vibrant colors, that cut across the pallor of the desert look. A caricature of a camel stands as the center-piece, right next to a palm tree.  To start off, the servers got us some dates in a bowl. 5 out of 7 o...

Over The Moon Brew Company

On a Sunday, out for dinner, two of us decided to check this place out. We thought of booking a table, but they said we could easily walk-in. The two-wheeler parking is down in the basement, while the four-wheelers could be parked outside in the courtyard. The restaurant is all of one floor, with indoor and outdoor, shaded seating. We decided to take a seat inside. Done up in rustic ways, the chairs and tables are different than usual. Only drawback, the table tops aren't too even. A huge, pink-painted piano rests in one corner, while the other showcases their mini brewery setup. And, even the washrooms are well done! Starting off, we ordered the Pita Cones with cottage cheese filling. Because it was a dry day, in the mocktails, we opted for Pyasa and Litchi Mint Fizza. The Pita Cones were not at all conical in shape 😕 but tasted great all the same. The dips served along with it were quite good, especially the Pineapple salsa! Another starter that we ordered was the Chilli ...

Little Things

Disclaimer: The review is based on a By-Invite event. Weekend kick-started early, with a small gathering at this cute little outlet. Known to be primarily a bakery, they are open till late, and possibly, the only one to remain open till 1 in the night on weekends. The place is easy to spot on the main road, but has a bit of a parking issue. The empty plot in the neighborhood is put to use for that. The decor is that of a warm cafe, done in pleasant hues. The table tops are old window frames with their latches and nets intact, topped with glass. A little wooden cart holds the spoons and the forks on the table for you. We started of with cookies in 4 varieties: Chocolate chip, coconut, sesame and ajwain. All were crisp and fresh, especially loved the coconut one. Next we were served three pastries, Red Velvet, Triple chocolate love and Choco crunch. The choco crunch has no gluten and no added sugar, but the taste isn't short of anything. Loved the red velvet, as it wasn't the us...

Flechazo

I have been skeptical of higher rated places. More often than not, the Zomato ends up being misleading. But this time it wasn't. I have been hearing about the place since it opened up last year, but it was only yesterday, that I finally visited the place for lunch, along with 5 others. The place is located on the main road, right next to Avasa, and is quite easy to spot. Parking is no issue either. We reached the place around 12.30, and though we did not have a reservation, it was easy to get accommodated. They have a good amount of seating places. The decor is nothing too fancy, yet colorful and vibrant. There are witty posters lining the walls, even those of washrooms! In all, the place has a gleeful feel to it. After we were seated and settled in, a server came and gave an overview of the day's menu. First off, we were served with complimentary Virgin Mojitos. The much needed cooler was not only soothing, but also good in quantity. Post that, the starters were broug...

Cafe Delhi Heights

Two weeks back, strolling through Pacific Mall for a place to sit down, three of us zeroed in on this colorful place. It would have been around 5 in the evening, and being a working day, it wasn't over crowded. We sat at the settis with low lying tables, quite near entrance. The place is full of quirk, which is evident right from the moment you set your eyes at the thought of the day chalked near the entrance. We were first, promptly, served a complimentary bread basket with herbed butter. Some of the bread bits were just so flavourful! 😍 It would take you some time to go through the menu completely. The doodles and phrases on each page are sure to distract and amuse you for a while. Because we weren't too hungry, we ordered for the Paneer Tikka of the day, and two mocktails, namely, Kiwi, cucumber and mint lemonade , and Minty lemonade. Loved, loved, loved the Paneer Tikka! It was so soft and well done, with the chutney complementing it so perfectly! As for the lemonades, bo...
