This happens to be my 100th review on Zomato. I travelled more than an hour across the city to reach this place. And I can swear that the hassle was worth it. Located conveniently on the SP road, this little joint has a few tables and a counter with stools for seating. You place your order at the til, and then wait for the display to show your order number. Nothing too fancy, but still a happy ambience. Pretty simple, yet the yellow tones of the interior give your mood an instant life in this grey weather.
I am a waffle buff. But up till yesterday, I had never really liked savoury waffles. Here, the first one we tasted was the pizza waffle, and I hated the fact that it was over so soon. I really enjoyed the taste, and specially loved the flavours of the batter the waffle was made up of.
In the sweet section, they have waffles made primarily of 3 kinds of batter: normal, chocolate, and red. We tried the red velvet one. It came loaded with buttercream frosting. Aptly warm, this was also a winner. Next in the section was their set of mini pancakes. You choose a flavour from the waff-wich menu, and they make it into pancakes. We went with the triple chocolate flavour, and what came on to our table was a delight. Cocoa batter pancakes, just big enough to be bite size, drizzled with 3 kinds of chocolates: white, milk and dark. Not only did this look cute, it tasted supremely wonderful, without being heavy.
In the shakes section, I stuck to my usual Oreo shake. By this time, because of the sweet offerings, we were looking for something savoury again. The other option in savoury was the Baked Beans with Cheese waff-wich. This was another thing that I had not been a fan of, but only till yesterday. The cheese and beans blend in so well, that you instantly love the flavours you are subjected to. Oreo shake was no less worthy, and didn't end up to be too sugary sweet, either.
All in all, I loved each and everything I tasted. The cost isn't too high either. More importantly, they hand you the waffles in such a packing that you can take it on the go.
A special mention to Viraj, who personally makes sure you are enjoying your food. He took it on himself to ascertain that all the customers are comfortable, and taken care of.
