A new offering from the owners of Istah Shawarmas, DaBao is a refreshingly good desi Chinese delivery joint. I usually don't prefer to eat Chinese outside, as most of the places just unload a lot of chilli, thereby destroying the joy of other flavours, which isn't the case with DaBao. I got my Saturday night's dinner from them, and here is how it went.
For starters, we had Honey Chilli Potato and Veg Manchurian. Potatoes were the right amount of sweet and chilly, and not burnt to sticks, and the manchurian balls were soft and flavourful. The quantity of both the starters was good as well. Do give the Potato a try.
For the mains, there was Schezwan Fried Rice and Chilli Butter Garlic Noodles. I LOVED the noodles! And even loved seems to be an understatement. I enjoyed the flavours so much! After a long time, I had a Schezwan Fried Rice, wherein there was no excess chilli burning my tongue.
Along with these, there were 4 dips that came along. If you are someone who would love to have the extra spiciness to your food, there is the green Zed sauce. Depending on your preference, you could also go for Sweet Chilli, Hot Garlic or Hot and Sour dips. Each has their own charm, and would take the taste up a notch.
The USP of the place was that there was very less oil used, and all the ingredients (especially, the vegetables) tasted fresh.
Order from here, for a soulful Chinese experience, the kind that you crave on the street, but can have without the guilt!
