The Hole in The Wall Cafe

There are places that question your senses, because there would be people raving about it (and the ratings would, consequentially, be high), and there would be you, being snobby and not liking anything at all. You get what I am try to say. The same happened with The Hole in the Wall Cafe.

It was last Sunday, when our girl gang decided to meet at brunch here. Located on Road 45, near the traffic signal, the place isn't too hard to spot. There are three areas for seating-near the entrance, out in the open, and on the level above. The place is done very beautifully, and there's no second thought about that. Because there were 7 of us, a table was arranged for us upstairs. Though there were a lot of dishes ordered, here is the low down of the vegetarian and eggitarian ones.

1. The Spicy Amigo sandwich: I write about this first, because it was easily one of the better dishes of that day. The filling may feel a bit tangy, but in a good way, and the portion, too, was more than good.
2. Cheesy Fries: AVOID. Bland fries, topped with an even more bland cheese. Adding chilli flakes also did no good to it.
3. Veggie Pizza Omlette: Another big one to AVOID. It is too gooey, and hard to decipher what or whether you are eating.
4. Cold Coffee with Chocolate ice-cream: Meh. Too watery to be called a cold coffee. Would have understood if they would have claimed it to be an iced-coffee.
5. The Cookie Monster: Doable. But the whipped cream was so thick that the entire layer stuck to the the top of the glass, even when the actual drink was almost over.
6. Hash Browns: Definite, yes! Finally a component of the breakfast that they were able to get right. It was done well, and didn't feel too greasy.
7. French Toast stuffed with Peanut Butter and Banana: I am not a fan of such flavours, but if you are, I would recommend this to try.
8. Triple Chocolate Pancake: Another dish worth trying here. The soft and supple pancakes, made with cocoa batter, and topped with even more chocolate is enough to transport you to dessert heaven
9. Blueberry Cheesecake Waffle: I did not like this. I love blueberry cheesecake, and I love waffles. Considering that, this one should have been a delight. But it failed to deliver.
10.  Peach & Basil Lemonade: Best thing to cleanse your heavily dosed palate with.
11. Strawberry Lemonade: AVOID.

There were numerous more items ordered, with varied kinds of meats. And our total was somewhere around 4100 for 7 people. So, the place doesn't end up being too costly, but the food doesn't tick. Oh, and a good place for photographs. Would I revisit? Probably, no.
