The Sound Garden experience happened early in the week, on a Tuesday night, and I was surprised to find it bustling with crowd on a weeknight. But then, the corporate offices thronging the area have numerous people looking to head out for food & drinks post work, and it is not possible to not return to this place, once you have been here!
The space is large enough to have separate sections for the club and the restaurant experience. We were there for a review session, and the dance floor section was utilised to accommodate us. There are artifacts hanging down from the ceiling, that make you go wow! There are a few tables with high chairs, and a bar in the corner, and then there's seating space above this. For once, you don't feel too congested or packed, and the high roof makes it more breathable.
We started off with the mocktails. There's something to please everyone's taste buds. Listing down the ones I tried:
Eden, Guava Martini, Watermelon and Basil Refresher, Banana smoothie, Tangy Pineapple, and Orange Twist. It is hard to pick a favourite, but if I had to at gunpoint, probably Guava Martini, because I'm a fan of the guava-and-salt flavour.
Next in, was a mocktail for an entire group to gulp down — Garden Storm. It has two vessels, the bottom one containing a blue lemonade and the top one with refreshing pomegranate.
As for the food, this place gets it right. For the starters we had:
🔹Cheese spinach corn rolls: Loved how well the spinach was blended in with the cheese and corn. And the cheese quantity in itself was a wow factor!
🔹 Tricolour Paneer Tikka: Paneer Tikka with 3 kinds of marination, made sure that you have an assorted variety, instead of just one kind of tikka.
🔹 Mushroom Churchuri: Star of the night, for which even the non-vegetarians keep reaching again and again!
Before diving into the mains, we were served a Watermelon and Feta salad which looked oh-so-fresh! If you're a salad person with an affinity to Feta cheese, you shouldn't miss this.
I didn't indulge in mains much, but whatever I did try, o loved. And that included the likes of Singapore Rice noodles (🌟), Chilli Hot Garlic vegetables, Hakka noodles, and veg platter. They have a variety of makns to offer, that span Indian, Continental and Chinese cuisines.
Ending the evening on a sweet note, our dessert course brought in a Tres Leches and an Apricot Pudding. While the apricot flavours were quite welcoming, for me it was the former that won. It was soft, moist, and delectable.
The evening was definitely a good one, and the place makes you want to visit again, for all the positive vibes. The price range doesn't fall exactly in the cheap category, and is a tiny bit above reasonable, but nothing too obnoxious. They're definitely worth a visit, because you'll come back for seconds out of your own will!
