Caffe Tonino - Connaught Place

I  went back to Tonino after almost five years, and the place was as perfect as it was at that point in time. ðŸ™‚
It was the chosen place for three of us to meet last Saturday, for brunch. They are located in the same block as PVR Plaza, but the entrance is from the middle circle side. A small staircase leads to this simplistically done cafe, that is bright and yet soothing in the same go. We were in by 11.30 a.m., and the place already had tables occupied. Downing a glass of water each, we were ready to place our order because we were nothing short of starving! On to the food details.

~Breakfast Panino: A panino stuffed with vegetables and cheese, with a side of great hash browns! The tomato chilli jam complimented the panino quite well. The portion could have been a little bigger, though.

~Caffe Tonino Square Pizza: Loved this thin crust pizza! It had the toppings in the right quantities, and cheese in ever more right ones.

~Cannelloni: Words can't describe how good this was. The cannellonis were stuffed with minced mushrooms, spinach etc, in a cheesy sauce, topped with baked cheese. This was like a symphony in every bite! Must try.

~Tiramisu: A slightly too bitter for my personal liking, yet I could not stop myself from going in for spoon after spoon!

~Lasagna al cioccolato: This was layers of chocolate cake and white chocolate, heated and drizzled with chocolate sauce and topped with white chocolate shavings, served with a side of vanilla ice-cream. Heaven, period.

~Cucumber Masala Mocktail: Nothing like a quencher on a hot day, and this one checked the taste boxes as well. We also had 2 coffees apart from the above.

We were sitting there for almost three hours, enjoying our meal and comfort. Our total came to be around 3k for three people, and we are not complaining!C
